Latvian summers are beautiful but short, which is why many people want a place of their own to get away from everyday life and spend time closer to nature. REBORN delivers its shipping container cabins to the site already finished, so a place like this does not take years of building.

🏡 What is included in a container cabin before delivery?

Before delivery, a REBORN container cabin is fully fitted out with heating, water and ventilation systems, along with the interior finish and design.

📍 Where can a container cabin be placed?

A container cabin can be placed almost anywhere, on a rural property, by a lake or at the edge of a forest. Installing it leaves no construction waste, mess or long building work on site.

🚛 Can a container cabin be moved to another site?

A container cabin can be moved to another site with special equipment, because shipping containers are built to be transported. If the land or the owner’s needs change after a few years, the cabin can move along with them, which makes it more than a seasonal cottage.

♻️ Is a shipping container cabin environmentally friendly?

A shipping container cabin is built from a used shipping container, which gives the container a second life. Building this way considerably reduces waste and the impact on the environment.

🌿 How large does a container holiday cabin need to be?

A container holiday cabin does not need to be large, because a single container is enough for a compact cabin for 1 to 2 people, such as the Lote cabin.

For a family, several containers can be joined into a larger family holiday place, such as Olivia. A terrace, an outdoor kitchen or even a sauna can be added, and the sauna can also be built from a shipping container.

Why a shipping container is an ideal base for a sauna on water

A shipping container is built to withstand harsh conditions at sea, so its rigid, hard-wearing structure makes it well suited as a base for a mobile sauna on water. It holds its shape in changing weather and on moving water, which matters a great deal for a project like this. As a result, our sauna can sit firmly on the raft and last for years.

Modular sauna layout and features

Preparation for tiling is now complete. Window openings have been cut into the walls, and these will give a clear view of the water from both the sauna room and the changing room. The sauna has 2 main rooms, a changing room and a sauna room.

The changing room will have 4 power sockets for charging a phone, connecting speakers or plugging in a kettle. The sauna room will have 2 built-in LED lights, set behind the backrests and beneath the bench, giving the room a warm and welcoming feel.

A distinctive design feature is the side-mounted chimney, which leaves room for a terrace on top for relaxing and watching the water. The terrace will be a fine spot to take in fresh air and the surrounding nature from above.

A water supply line has also been prepared, giving access to water. A large electrical distribution box makes all the wiring reachable during repairs or maintenance, so there is no need to open up the walls to get to it.

Next steps

The work ahead includes fitting the foil and the spacer battens, along with the interior finishing. Our team is working towards presenting the finished, fully working result.
